Privacy Policy
Effective 5 October 2026
Keel (trykeel.ai) is run by R Dynamics Group LLC ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use Keel, why, who helps us run it, and your choices. Questions: keel.engine@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture.
- Your work: the projects, boards, diagrams, BOMs, wiring, notes and files you and your team put into Keel.
- Board history: a log of changes and decisions on each board, kept with the board and used by Keel AI as context.
- Keel AI use: when you use Keel AI, the relevant board content and file text is sent to our AI provider to produce the answer. We record how much AI you used (token counts and dates) to enforce daily limits; we don't keep a separate copy of your questions.
- Technical data: our providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser and timestamps) to run and secure the service.
What we use it for
- To provide Keel: sign you in, save and show your work, share it with your project's members, and run Keel AI.
- To send emails you need: invites, sign-in links and account notices. No marketing emails.
- To keep Keel secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your work to train AI models. Keel uses no advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores your sign-in session, display preferences and recent Keel AI chat locally; signing out clears them.
Who can see your work
Only members of a project can see its contents, with the role the project owner gives them (owner, editor or viewer). This is enforced by the database itself. Uploaded files are private and are only available through short-lived links to project members.
Service providers
We use these companies to run Keel. They process data only on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
- Cloudflare: delivering the Keel website.
- Anthropic: Keel AI. Board content you send to Keel AI is processed under Anthropic's commercial terms, which do not allow it to be used to train their models.
- Resend: sending Keel's emails.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and work while your account is active. Deleted boards go to a trash first; deleting from the trash removes them. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account details and remove you from projects. Work you created in a shared project stays with that project, because it belongs to the team. Backups held by our providers expire on their normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing keel.engine@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law (for example GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act); we will honour them.
Security
Access to every project is checked by the database for every request, connections are encrypted, there are no passwords to leak (sign-in is by email link or Google), and our keys and secrets are never sent to your browser. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
Keel is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell users by email or in Keel.
